C-Hub
C-Hub stands for Communications Hub.
It is a secure managed communication hub that currently incorporates more than 85 tools and involves the integration of separate systems including:

- Virtual Learning Environments
- Workshop planning/delivery suites

It has the potential to:
- Provide an easy-to-use tool to enable communication between members via secure online areas
- Quickly set up an easy-to-use tool to access information, communicate with each other and identify needs
- Provide a self-populating tool to identify peer to peer mentors and those seeking mentor support
- Enable promotion of specific aspects of any project
The original Managed Learning Environment (MLE) on which the C-Hub is based was developed by a University of Durham technology spin-out company with over 10 years experience in the design and delivery of online learning systems and 20 years experience in multi-media software development. There are currently more than 150 platforms and hundreds of thousands of users of the secure system.
DEAL Group has developed a platform for Newcastle Business Forums for members to store and share information.
The C-Hub is also supporting the ‘Responsible Business’ activities in Newcastle which launched in March 2011 at Newcastle City Library.
