The DEAL Group team have all worked extensively with or in small businesses. We have researched, taught and developed programmes, project managed bespoke interventions and written about or consulted locally, nationally and internationally. 

 

We formed DEAL in 2005 with the aim of continuing the tradition of pioneering innovative ways of achieving success - the know-how, know-what and know-who - fostered by the Small Business Centre at Durham University (where some of our team worked for many years).  We are proud to continue that tradition. 

We operate to a set of values that prioritise integrity, respect and openness.

 

We develop tools, services and policy papers on topics as wide ranging as ideas generation, micro finance, training SME bankers, awards programmes, business forums, virtual programmes, evaluations, designing monitoring approaches and business growth programmes.  

 

We work with our clients to use the concepts, constructs and principles of stimulating entrepreneurship and supporting businesses to design innovative, cost efficient, realistic, practical and pro-active solutions to perceived challenges.
 

We provide project management facilities, tools, expertise, consultancy and delivery of events.

The Directors and Key Staff have extensive experience of designing and managing a range of research, projects and programmes from Youth Entrepreneurship to Banker Training, Social Enterprise to Team Start Up, Growth strategies to Undergraduate Enterprise Modules.
